Nikasi

Nikasi i kuma

In March this year I joined a group of godfathers which enable studying to Nikasi, a pharmacy student. I didn't expect that we will meet after only a few months in person, in Tanzania. Right when I was in Songea in the orphanage, Nikasi came to visit. Everything turned out great so I didn't have to take the bus to the city of Njombe where he is studying.

After our first contact, greetings and conversation in the orphanage, we went to get some lunch to the restaurant. Nikati talked about his obligations and challenges which he faces in life and on college.

I am very glad he finished his first year and continues his education. It is not hard to separate some money in the amount of one pair of shoes, or two food shoppings, when you know that amount can change someones whole life to better.

Education to these young people is the getaway from a closed circuit of poverty. Although they whish to study and work, they end up against the wall because without any financial support, often without parents, they can't even start their path.

We wish him still a lot of successes in studying and that he achieves a safe and stable life for himself.
