Completed the course Activism and Active Citizenship for volunteers and active citizens within the project Laurentius Community Center. On September 23, 2021, the last course for volunteers and active citizens was held at the Laurentius Community Center as part of the Activism and Active Citizenship program. The last course, which took place on September 23, 2021, was successfully completed. as part of the Activism and Active Citizenship program. The educations were informative and entertaining. They were held online and could be joined by all interested citizens. The leaders of these inspiring lectures were: Rafael Gudelj, Petra Ivančić and Antonia Rukavina. The trainings covered five topics: 1. Development of volunteer competencies 2. Active citizenship for a solidary society 3. Social change and how little people are changing the world 4. Volunteering in the Republic of Croatia and the world 5. Creating volunteer actions - from idea to project The aim of these lectures was for the participants to get to know what kind of society they want to live in and to think about their potentials. They can bury their talents or share them, multiply them and thus enrich and improve the environment in which they live and work. We believe that with these lectures we encouraged the citizens of Imotski Krajina to become active and start helping in the community where they are needed. So, after acquiring theoretical knowledge, one should now move from words to deeds.
