This summer finally my long-awaited trip to Tanzania and meeting Careen came true. So far, we were in touch only through letters and videos. Photos were sent, drawings and presents, but there was always the wish to get to know my student, which I am following for 6 years, better.

I was very excited and happy before meeting her. I believe Careen was also excited and surprised, since she found out I'am meeting her only that day.

Our first encouter was in her school where, among the group of kids in green uniforms, there was one calm, quiet and nice girl. It is a beautiful feeling to say hello in person.

I also met her teacher with whome I talked about Careen's school and preparations for the national exams.

I also met her in her home where she lives with her aunt and cousins. They live in a house without water in conditions that we can hardly imagine.

When Careen was free, we hang out in the orphanage with other kids, played badminton, board games and went for an ice-cream.

Careen and her aunt are very grateful for all the help they received.

I wish her that her exams go well and all the luck in her future education.
